Raised in a farm family in Spain, Joseph entered the seminary in 1876 when he was only twelve years old. After ordination, he worked as a parish priest and was a professor at the seminary in Madrid.

When we talk about Athanasius, we use two important words–orthodoxy and heresy. Orthodoxy means right belief. Heresy means false belief.
